Effekt Studios was started in Tzaneen by Danél Landman after too many conversations with business owners who had paid an agency a month's salary for a stack of unread CVs, and with good people who had sent their CV into silence.
We decided to do the opposite of what the big agencies do. Take fewer roles and work them properly. Speak to every candidate before an employer does. Tell people what is happening, including when the answer is no. Charge a fair fee, only when someone starts, and stand behind the placement for ninety days.
Limpopo is home, and agriculture, mining, and the services around them are where we started. Because so much of the work now happens by phone, video and in a shared portal, we work with employers from Polokwane to Cape Town, and we say so plainly when a role is outside what we know.
How we handle your information
Recruitment runs on personal information, and we treat that as the responsibility it is. Candidate data is stored in South Africa, sensitive details are encrypted, nobody sees your name before you agree to be put forward, and our privacy notice and PAIA manual say the rest in plain language.
